1. 194 cm Total-Body PET FOV
The uEXPLORER provides a 194 cm axial PET field of view, allowing the entire body to be captured in a single bed position. This enables simultaneous visualization of tracer distribution across multiple organs.
2. Ultra-High Sensitivity
Its 176 cps/kBq sensitivity and cross-coincidence technology significantly increase photon detection efficiency. United Imaging reports up to 40× higher sensitivity compared with conventional PET/CT systems.
3. Digital SiPM Detector
The integrated-light-guide digital detector uses SiPM technology with fine LYSO crystals to improve light collection efficiency, spatial resolution and quantitative imaging performance.
4. High-Resolution CT
The PET system is integrated with a 160-slice CT detector featuring 0.25 mm isotropic spatial resolution, providing high-resolution anatomical information for PET/CT fusion and lesion localization.
5. Total-Body Dynamic Imaging
The large FOV and high sensitivity allow the system to continuously track radiotracer distribution throughout the body. This makes it particularly valuable for dynamic PET, pharmacokinetic studies and molecular imaging research.
6. Ultra-Low-Dose & Fast Imaging
The high sensitivity enables imaging with substantially reduced tracer activity or very short acquisition times. United Imaging demonstrates total-body imaging in as little as 30 seconds at standard dose and ultra-low-dose imaging at sub-millicurie activity levels.
7. Automated Quality Control
The system supports automated daily quality control without radioactive sources, as well as periodic full QC using 18F-FDG or 68Ge sources. This helps simplify routine system maintenance and reduce operator radiation exposure.
8. Patient-Friendly Design
The 76 cm PET aperture, illuminated bore and short examination times are designed to improve patient comfort. The system also incorporates multiple in-bore intercoms and touchscreen controls for easier communication and operation.
